1. | You may want to keep track of the jokes you say each week so you don't repeat them too often. Click here for a chart you can use. | |||||||||
| 2. | If you run 3 Alphas a year, you will need to tell about 35 jokes. When repeating jokes, alter them slightly to keep them fresh for you and your team. Change names, gender where appropriate, embellish a bit. |

| 3. | Once people know there is a joke coming each week, I like to start the joke with something like "Welcome everyone... I heard a story about..." I prefer this to "Welcome everyone. Here is the joke for tonight. |

| 4. | I like to relate jokes to something when I can. For example: If its near Valentines day, I might say "It was Valentines Day on Tuesday. It's a time when some people think about romance. It reminds me of a story I heard about a fellow named Charlie". I would then tell the "Charlie was too tired joke. |

| 5. | Always be sensitive to others when it comes to the types of jokes you tell. Be careful not to offend in terms of gender, age groups, nationality, denomination etc. If unsure about a joke, you may want to run it by someone. I'm pretty careful but I also have Irene to keep me in line. | ||||||||||
